I have a 2008 PSE Creature (NI Cam) that I bought for my father, and I am trying to suit the draw weight. It's supposed to be a 50-70 lb bow, but I am having a difficult time getting information technology lower than 60. I started by tightening the limbs so that there was a 3/sixteen" gap between the limbs and riser. At that point I measured the draw weight at 75 lbs. I backed out each limb commodities iv complete turns, and the draw weight is at present at 60 lbs. How would I get this bow to 50 lbs? Is it a problem that the draw weight was at 75 lbs at max weight (maybe my scale is off)?

Keith or someone else can verify, merely most bows take a 10lb range. Unremarkably, the bow is marked every bit max (in this case 70lbs.). Not knowing the historic period of cable/string, significant stretch.... the bow maxed out will be less than 70lbs if the cord has a few years on it. Yous don't want to dorsum out the limb bolts too far, as the limbs could come out of the pockets, under stress (dangerous!!!) Personally, I think the bow is 60-70lbs and you need lighter limbs.

I'grand pretty sure the bow is simply adjustable in ten# increments. It is more than probable a threescore-lxx# bow. If it maxes out at 75# then the string is either too long or the cables are too curt causing preloading in the limbs. Bring it to a reputable shop and accept it adjusted. It may need new strings and cables likewise. Where are you located???

And according to that same chart the 2022 model adjusts from 40-70lbs...

Simply his is the 2008.
